we use different formula for different questions it dependence upon the question which formula we used lets have some question 

here some formula we used in questions and you see how the questions easily done just put the formula like in this video you see the simple addition and subtraction we  done. please  take some question and you will do it take some examples

1.+4=-6+10
2.+40=-60+100 
3.+3=-7+10
4.+30=-70+100

My  suggestion you that learn these formulas and try on that questions
